Match Report.
Another excellent night for the Prestwich lads, going into this match we only needed one point to guarantee qualifacation to the knock out stages with only eight teams now left, first up was Ronnie and after a slow start with his opponent giving nothing away and potting just about every thing he went for the game opened up a bit and the few chances Ronnie had he made the most of but in the end just got pipped at the post, next up was John Reed all i can say is it was a close call him being drug tested he played top notch snooker potting and positional play was outstanding his opponent totally out classed and i think relieved when the game was over, next to the green baze was Nick Rhodes- Heaton and before i new who i was playing John said to me see that guy over their you dont want to be playing him he`s sh*t hot ,guess who stands up to say that effected the early part of my game was a understatment but once i got settled managed to play some steady stuff the game went right down to the black and an attempt at a double into the middle bag went wrong but ended up right it hit the knuckle flew up and down the table and finnished up in the bottom pocket, i am doing the lottery this weekend i will keep you posted, Tommy Tulley played next and if you can give prizes for single ball potting this fella would win them won buy the biggest margin on the night destroyed his opponent who only scored ten yes ten points, last up was Dave Jefferys played a lad who looked like it was well past his bed time all i can say is i wish i was that good at his age dave fought hard and gave him plenty to think about but in the end lost out to the young gun.
Result 5-2 victory to the boys. The next round is at Blackley Cons on Wednesday 12th April if you are doing nothing that night come and give us your support.
