Title: Trial Of A New Site
Description: What do you guys think?

I'm currently trying out a new site to initially run in tandem with this one.

It may replace it entirely eventually, but for now it's to support the results, league tables, etc.

Obviously it's early days yet, not a huge amount of effort gone into it, but if you could provide some feedback, I'd be grateful.

Just had a quick nosey through the site Mark, i don`t thick it looks as professional as this site, i did`nt know you were thinking of running two sites a few questions bear in mind i am not that computer literate.
Could you not post the results and have a league table set up on this site, do we have enough space to do it, is it difficult to do, is this costing you money.
I would like to see a photo gallery section added again is it possible.
Personally i think what YOU have achieved in setting up this site in such a short period of time is not short of amazing, what we have here is a rough diamond that just needs a bit of polishing.
I am not for to much change.

The only money that I've paid out is $25 last summer to register the domain name prestwichsnooker.com for 5 years. It's an amount I have no problem paying out every 5 years. The hosting is free, as is the software. Obviously that comes at the cost of having a limited set of functionality. I'm always happy to do any extra work that's of no cost, but would consider the benefit to the web site of anything that had to be paid for. That's more of a sensible policy than being a tight ar$e because you suddenly get into the idea that it's okay to spend a tenner, but at what point do you decide the cost becomes too much? We don't have the audience to make "paid for" forum software worth having, but I'll have a look at other versions of forum software over the summer and see if any of those offer more suitable functionality.

I'll see what functionality is available.

Thanks Nick. I'm not one for change unless there's a benefit involved. I thought that the test site that I've set up offered more along the lines of a team dedicated site. However, it seems geared more to American sports; it's the one that the Bury league uses but they don't exploit it as well as they could. Still, there's plenty of time between now and the end of August to see what else is out there.
