Prestwich cons are currently working very hard in the summer break to bolster their teams for next season...they expect to have 4 teams and bolster the league........HOWEVER this week a ROW HAS ERRUPTED WITH DAVE DARLINGTON and alan conchie/colin laithwaite 1st team capt regardind the fact that these 2 players and andy lester /bob capron 4 in total play in the bury billiards leage on a tuesday....Prestwich cons have said that all other teams in the prestwich league can use their club for netral cup venue and butterworth etc as usual..no problem...HOWEVER mr DARLINGTON SAYS prestwich cons will be thrown out OF ALL CUP COMPS and individuals will have to play all matches away...some at the cons are now threatening to pull out of our league completely....this would be CATASTROPHIC...the B league go 12 weeks without a game as it is...prest cons were hoping to sort this out at the AGM but aparently there is not going to be one...THIS NEEDS SORTING OUT NOW...many of us play in other leagues what about the stanley bell and other games....I DONT THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM 3 tables at the cons I DONT BLAME THE 4 LADS FOR HAVING A GAME OF BILLIARDS .....let bus SORT THIS OUT NOW please rally round

if tuesdays are a problem then you are in abit of trouble!
thursdays are the main nights for action coz its league nights, tuesdays are a bonus in my eyes...
prestwich caused the league a few problems last year and to be honest cant be arsed doin with it again this year LETS SORT IT OUT

tues not a problem....bury billiards is only 10 games and starts oct also can play free weeks so no conflict away from home....

you or your new team cannot dictate to the league. the league is bigger than you or your new club and if your team want to play elsewhere so what you will not be missed. you wasnt missed at the libs. i can see from the amount of replys from your bullitins nobody is bothered about you or your new team so go and annoy some other poxy league with your childish behavour :angry: :angry: :angry:

This site isn't even yet officially sanctioned by the league, more something I've donated to help the running of the league and communication between clubs. All official approaches to the league should still go through the proper channels, i.e. Mr David Darlington in writing.

Personally, I think it would be great to have two Prestwich Cons teams fully involved in the Prestwich league as they should be. I think any proposal for a workaround of Prestwich Cons' participation in the Tuesday knockouts needs to be talked through by the league committee though and an agreeable resolution achieved. You're not going to get that on this forum which is at the moment for information and banter only.

If you are the official representative of Prestwich Cons in this matter, Dave, then I suggest you take it up directly with Mr D. I'm sure the Bury League will be happy to make sure that Prestwich Cons are playing away from home the Tuesday nights that their tables are needed for Prestwich League cup matches of any sort.

thanks prestwich cons will try to sort it out with dd......but since there was no agm it is only reasonable to make all the clubs aware of the situation by this website....we do not appear to have a committee any longer ....maybe this website needs to involve all the clubs oin a serious attempt to improve our league....we cannot afford to lose any more teams or have vendetteas between individuals which affect the good of the league and sensible decisions

from prest cons...yes please talk to dd tonite....no malice is intended want happy relationship just trying to boost the league...pres cons have faded last 4 yrs.....so please tell david that we have some old players back and several new ones no one star.....we will field 4 teams even if some have to learn biil quick....i have told cons that they MUST GIVE all 3 tables for tues ....they all agreed...the 4 blokes who play up bury will play away if neede also this bury lge is small few games and free weeks so might not even have problem anyway.....we guarantee no problems dave.....lets get back to where we wre a few yrs ago thanks mark
