MarkP - April 13, 2007 01:50 PM (GMT)

Dont know how much Kevin paid but it shows you dont need to spend a lot on a cue if it works for you ;)

Just my opinion mind you, the value of a cue is unimportant Hendry won i dont know how many world championships with reportedly a club cue he picked up when out practicing, if it suits you and you can play with it job sorted. What is more revelant is the value of a cue in monitary terms by that i mean quality of manufacture and matreials used (excluding rare cues before old dog pulls me up) for me the best modern cue is a Parris they are not cheap "i can vouch for that" but too many of the modern day professionals use this cue for it to be a coincidence.
Kev still wipes the floor with me using a old sh*tty bent ,short ,ferel less piece of fire wood :o :( :o

i have known people buy cues with a pros name on it thinking that they will play the same as the pro does ie jimmy white ronnie osullivan etc
there is a lot of varying factors about buying a cue
how much have i got
ash
maple
weight
lenght
tip size
hand made
machine made
3 piece
2 piece
1 piece
ebony butt
multi spliced butt
and after all that hope and pray it works if not sell it and buy another
how many pros have changed from their oringinal cues other than through stolen or damaged

What happened to
1) A cue is only as good as the person using it??
2) A workman should never blame their tools??

It cost me nothing, but was in need of repairs that ended up costing £45,basically a fairly old club cue.
