Unsworth vs Liberals Billiards 1st team
Unsworth 2
Prestwich Liberals 6
Smoking facilities:
Plastic chairs out the front with a large beer garden umbrella for when it rains.
Food:
A plethora of lovingly made sandwiches kept warm under the light on the Pool table. Nice work from Lee and MBM attempting to put the butties away on their own.
Note to away teams: Take your sleeping bags!!
Match Report:
Some fine performances from Tom, Ken, Lee and Bernard. Bad luck to MBM and el capitano! You both played like a right pair of muppets. Taking nothing away from your opponents that is. You are still in recovery MBM and haven't had time to play very much lately so your performance can be excused.
Seems that it could be an interesting year once more with the Liberals getting off to a flying start without the assistance of some notable names.
Nice start Libs. :D
Middle_Bag_Man - September 7, 2007 09:09 AM (GMT)

Whitefield Con's v Stute First
Result 6-2 to the Cons
Not the start we were hoping for and improvement is needed if we want to retain the title, it's a funny old game billiards i have put a bit of practice in the closed season and was feeling confident going into my game against Mr Vetchy only to be a lamb to the slaughter, "Note to myself, dont bother practicing it makes not a blind bit of difference". Ant beat Riedy, joe beat Kev, Swee beat Mr Mctulka who has vastley improved his billiard game and played his very first CANNON in a match   the whole room was shocked till mark owned up and said it was a miss cue   , Mr Heywood beat Mark mosses and for me the best game of the night was old Rabbits foot against Mr Jefferys, i am deffinitley going to take a camcorder with me to his next billiard match some of his flukes defiey the laws of physics, he has no shame, two or three flukes in suck session not a problem . This is his first match of the season and he was on fire in the flukes department, Warning to all who cross his path be affraid be very affraid :o :o
Magnum was missing tonight so the result could have been worse, hope alls well and see you up at our place B) B)
Chris West - September 10, 2007 09:23 PM (GMT)
It could be the end of the fluke as I know it! New glasses ordered should be ready Saturday 15 September, last changed the prescription in 1998. I have a fear that when I can see things again, like the ball I am actually aiming at, I will probably miss. Should still be OK for snooker this thursday though, How many poskets are there on a snooker table???

Liberals vs W Cons
A convincing win for the Liberals with home advantage last night. Some top performances from Tommy, Lee, Bernard and MBM. Another grueller of a game for MBM sneaking his match with both players in the 90's.
The losers were Ronnie and Ken who were both taught a lesson.

Interesting topic of conversation from the Carlton lads at one point. Given the lads on the Carlton roster, you probably don't need to guess how near the gutter the conversation was....
usonofabitch - October 5, 2007 05:52 PM (GMT)
Hospitality supurb as ususal, dont have the score card and forgot already who played who "it's my age" the result was a 7-1 win for the Stute with Ronaldo raining on our parade B) B)
