Always a tough game at Whitefield and today proved no exception.
Didn't see Jim v Craig, but it sounded like Jim played a solid game. Westy fluked his way through a close game with Baz; all that stopped Baz winning it was a bit of experience at the end.
Second two pairs up where Paul against Ant and Shaun against Mark. I watched Shaun and Mark and after a slow start, Mark got going and Shaun slowed up. A couple of breaks around the 20 mark brought him level and then past Shaun.
Finally matches 1 and 2 went on. A good 41 break from Gary pulled him right back into it and showed that the handicapping was about right. Don seemed a bit below his usual self against me, but I took my chances and kept the pressure on him. Final score when i was on 99 was an outrageous fluke, but hey, ask that West chap about them.
