yes we are signing up to put a team in a snooker league cos its every week. But dave darlington should pull his finger out and sort out the league quick if he talks to people at our club about staying with prestwich. Hes becoming the gordon brown of prestwich DO NOWT think nowt let everyone else sort it il be too late soon

it is a sad loss if crumpsall dont play..perhaps they could play in both leagues snooker only on tues or thurs so they will be able to play lots of snooker in 2 seperate leagues

rang last night about a meeting at the Stute next Thursday to discuss!

Option 1 is a snooker league on Thursdays only and a billiards league on Tuesdays!

Have heard same rumour about HPWMC, depends on lease the club have?

Doesn't sound good though losing Crumpsall and HPWMC all in one go.

MIND YOU IF CRUMPSALL HAD SENT A DELEGATE TO THE MEETINGS MAYBE WE WOULDN'T BE PANICING LIKE WE ARE NOW!!!!

I'll pop in to HPSC on Tuesday and find out.

Having separate Tuesday/Thursday leagues may be an issue for Prestwich Cons - I thought that they were in the Bury league on Tuesdays? That would essentially leave Carlton(?), Whitefield Cons, Stute and Unsworth

we have 3 tables... be sure there will be no issues regarding our league whatever you decide

Can someone tell me when the next league meeting is, never been to one but would like to have a nosey.... Looks like a few players will be looking for new clubs next season if there are closures.. its a bloody shame.

Well, I've been to Heaton Park SC this evening and had assurances that it's not closing.

Due to waning popularity, the Saturday night artistes have been canned in favour of hiring the room out, with a smaller social event in the room adjacent to the snooker tables. We're probably sticking with one team in billiards and snooker but I'll be checking with Baz when he gets back off his holiday tomorrow.

Tonights the night of the G8 summit... er sorry the emergency meeting of the league to decide the format of next year.. Will someone tell us whats gone on when they get back???

The league will continue.

7 first teams, 5, 6 or 7 (!) second teams
Unsworth are fielding two teams again next season which is good.
Crumpsall Cons are officially no longer in the league.
Whitefield, Stute, Libs all definitely have two in both
Carlton probably have two in both
Prestwich Cons might struggle for a second billiards team
HPSC are provisionally one of each but I need to get in touch with the lads again, didn't have time to pop down there tonight before the meeting.

Second team billiards is five players next season.

Think that's it.

yep ... the format for next season is easy.. the church 1st win the double and the church 2nd win the double. and the six numbers for saturdays lotto are as follows: 6,13,24,35,41 & 49 i thank you :rolleyes:

yes its not looking good really. on reflection hpsc will probably not have a second team even though mark says BAINO IS BACK..........losing crumpsall is a bitter blow and we now play only 6 snooker matches home and away each season thats crap....
if the stute win fair enough but we are going to have a lot of free weeks with no games at all....its CRAP

on that note ill only miss the fine set of boobs behind the bar at crumpsall
